We meet at the Bike Hub, set your bike up, sort the kit and drink a coffee before anyone rides anywhere. Nine is when most people want to leave. If that is the wrong time for you, we move it.
Đà Lạt is behind you within half an hour. Pine forest, red dirt, coffee terraces, and roads where the view on either side is the reason you came.
We stop in the village and eat with the people who live there. No English menu, no tourist table. You get what is cooked that day, and it is usually the best food of the trip.
The plan has gaps in it on purpose. Karaoke with the locals. A football match against the village kids that you will lose. Whatever the day puts in front of us and we have the time for.
This is the part nobody plans and everybody remembers.
You roll in as the light goes. The valley opens up in front of the terrace and the sunset does the rest, with nothing around you but the sounds of the forest.
We cook. The food comes from the farmers around the house. There is nowhere else to be and nothing after this on the schedule. If you want us to stay the night with you, we stay.
Slow start. If you are up for it we ride down to the coffee farm, meet the people who grow it, and you take a bag home that was picked in the valley you just slept in.
